Workspace for future: A green vision for tomorrow.

Sustainability.
Ground to top: done sustainably.

AYR’s sustainability strategy comprises a multitude of measures for reducing the building’s carbon footprint and business-related emissions. The AYR revitalisation concept boosts the building’s resilience and creates a “future-proof” working environment.

Façade renovation

Insulation thickness doubled to 160 mm and natural stone reused

Long-distance heating

Climate-friendly upgrades to heating system

LED lighting

Energy-saving lighting concept

Water management system

Efficient, intelligent, innovative

Rainwater treatment system

Resource-saving and cost-effective

Smart energy controls

Process optimisation to save energy

Charging stations for e-bikes and electric cars

Regenerative energy for greater mobility

Green roof

Promotes biodiversity and a healthy micro-climate

Lift systems

Efficient energy recovery

Cradle to Cradle. The origin of future.

The revitalised AYR is underpinned by the “cradle to cradle” principle, which demands the very best of eco-friendly building materials and natural material cycles. The existing natural stone was refreshed and reused in an innovative process. The result is (virtually) loss-free material use for a resource-friendly carbon footprint.

“The cradle-to-cradle principle sets the course for the sustainable development of existing buildings. CONREN Land takes this responsibility seriously and is committed to resource-friendly revitalisation at AYR. The underlying concept is based on a loss-free material cycle.”

Impact is in the AYR:
Facts. Figures. Benchmarks.

950 tonnes of CO2

Annual saving during daily operations thanks to modern energy measures. That’s the equivalent of planting 43,000 trees per year.

850,000 kWh

Adjusted energy saving. Equivalent to the average energy demand of approximately 243 households per year.

72 kWh / sqm

Primary energy demand: 13% lower than the reference value for new buildings and 54% lower than the reference value for modernised existing buildings.

2.6 million kWh

Final energy saving per year, equivalent to 260 million hours of lighting with LEDs.

Setting the standards: The future is bright.

Working to very highest levels of certification, AYR is fit for the future. The building has already achieved the BREAAM Very Good certification and work is currently under way on securing DGNB Gold, WiredScore Platinum and BREEAM Excellent.

A real connection is in the AYR.
